Roundtable: "Cyber risk for businesses" hosted by Yanya Viskovich, Chair - Cyber Law & Governance Working Group.

A company's Board has a duty to understand and oversee this significant risk. This roundtable discussion will bring together business and cyber experts to identify the governance challenges that businesses and their Boards face in a rapidly evolving cyber threat landscape in the current context and discuss best practices, key principles, strategies and tools to increase cyber resilience and therefore business continuity in this context.

Maya Bundt is a senior leader and experienced multiple board member with a passion for cyber, innovation, and people.

In almost 20 years with the global reinsurer Swiss Re she held a variety of roles in IT, Strategy and Reinsurance. Since 2014 she was responsible for developing the cyber insurance strategy and successfully built the Cyber and Digital Solutions function and team; she also chaired the Swiss Re Cyber Council. She left Swiss Re in Summer 2022 to focus on her board mandates.

Maya supports a number of national and international initiatives in the digital economy and cyber risk and has published several articles on the topic. She engages with the community as the Chair of the Cyber Resilience Chapter of the Swiss Risk Association, a member of the Cyber Security Commission of digitalswitzerland, a member of WEF's Global Future Council for Cybersecurity, and as partner for Governance of Digital Risks at the International Center for Corporate Governance.

Andreas Pankow

Andreas Pankow is Chief Executive Officer of DGC Switzerland, a comprehensive cybersecurity provider, with more than 20 years of experience in various management roles at international companies. He is based in Switzerland out of where DGC builds up its international business. Andreas is an expert in strategic business planning, managing young companies in their growth ambitions as well as developing and implementing sales strategies.

Susanne Gnädinger

Susanne Gnädinger is the Chief Transformation Officer at MS Reinsurance – formerly known as MS Amlin AG – where she enables the company's end-to-end transformation.

Susanne holds a Master in Economics and Informatics from the University of Zurich and began her career at a Software Engineering company to learn the craft of programming. She subsequently worked in consulting, where she was involved in several projects in the financial industry. In 2005, Susanne joined PartnerRe, holding various roles across the business from Life Insurance, to Catastrophe, to Non-Life Operations, and subsequently moved into the role of Chief Transformation Officer when the company started to look into the usage of new technologies.

Moderator

Yanya Viskovich is a cybersecurity and data protection lawyer, advisor, speaker, and facilitator with over 16 years’ experience advising on and managing strategic, legal, national security, and operational risks for large organisations across industries, continents, and in conflict zones. Yanya is the Swiss Cyber Institute Chair of Cyber Law and Governance Working Group, an Advisory Board Member of IDC Europe, and an expert ethics and data protection advisor to the European Commission’s Horizon 2020 programme. She has guest lectured on data protection at the University of St. Gallen, published on cybersecurity and data protection topics, regularly provides pro-bono cybersecurity and data protection advice to deep-tech startups as part of Zürich's Kickstart Innovation Program, and is actively involved in the Atlantic Council’s annual international cyber crisis simulations.
